Cuyahoga County Re-entry Court
Implemented in 2007 and funded through the Office of Criminal Justice Services is a specialized docket presided over by Judge Nancy Margaret Russo
. It was established to address the needs of offenders transitioning from prison back to the community. Reentry court allows individuals to get out of prison early and get the social services they need in order to find jobs and housing, all while under the supervision of the court.
It is estimated that this early release program has saved the State of Ohio nearly $5 million over the past five years.

Upcoming in 2015: Cuyahoga County Veterans Treatment Court
Veterans Treatment Court is a specialized docket serving the needs of United States Veterans who serve or served on Active Duty, The Reserves, or The Ohio National Guard.
The Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court adopted a Cuyahoga County Veterans Treatment Court on November 13, 2014, and Judge Michel Jackson, the only veteran on this bench, was selected to preside over this new court. Presently, Judge Jackson and others are in the process of seeking approval of the Ohio Supreme Court for certification as a specialized docket. The goal is be operational between April and before Memorial Day of 2015.
